Two weeks after the presidential campaign, as the dust of its suburban strategies settled, we joined our partners at the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts to celebrate a new book of student work. Featuring projects from a Spring 2020 Laboratory for Suburbia seminar at the College of Architecture and Graduate School of Architecture & Urban Design, this small publication was developed by student editors as an exhibition in the form of a book. It is an atlas of interrogative art and design practices, organized into “neighborhoods” that trace connections between individual projects and invite readers to engage with the propositions they make.
